llms.txt for dental practices

Patients now ask AI assistants which dentist to call. Give them the facts about your practice in a format they can read.

What patients ask AI about dentists

People ask things like "dentist near me accepting new NHS patients", "emergency dentist open today" or "where can I get dental implants in Leeds". An assistant can only recommend your practice for those questions if it can find, in plain words, that you take new patients, which treatments you offer, your opening hours and how to book.

What to put in a dental llms.txt

Say whether you see NHS patients, private patients or both. List the treatments people search for (check-ups, hygiene, emergency appointments, implants, Invisalign, cosmetic work), the areas you serve, your phone number and booking link, and your CQC registration. Keep it factual: no prices you would not quote on the phone, and no clinical claims.

How to use it

  1. Pick your practice type and fill in your details.
  2. List the treatments patients actually search for, one per line.
  3. Get the full file by email, upload it to your website, and check it at yourpractice.co.uk/llms.txt.

Questions

Does llms.txt replace my Google Business Profile?

No. Keep your Google Business Profile complete and your reviews coming in. llms.txt adds a clear summary on your own website, which AI tools can read alongside everything else.

Should I list prices?

Only "from" prices you are happy to quote and keep up to date. If prices change often, leave them out and say how to get a quote.

What about emergencies?

Say whether you offer same-day emergency appointments and how to get one. Never give clinical advice in the file.

Why do you ask for my email?
